waterpark capital

A couple of weeks ago, we did run to Wisconsin Dells (waterpark capital of the word) to get some photos of the snow sculptures. But it was so cold, in the negative degrees, that all of the sculptures had frozen dirty looking snow in places, like these.

LL blacksmith

Since the snow sculptures looked so sad I turned my attention to the blacksmith.

I think I need to go to Wisconsin some day. It just seems like there are all kinds of cool things to do. Yeah...I agree with you.. Dirty snow...blacksmith.. I think that is such a neat craft. Very nice purchase!

Very nice artwork! The one thing that I distinctly remember about the Dells is the size of the mosquitos! I realize they are not a problem right now but, holy mother of God, they were huge!

Great series of photos, Lisa. I'm surprised to see him handling the metal with his bare hands. I guess it's not hot through and through.

I know I always say this....BUT...I love coming to your page and looking at your pictures! If you are ever out and about and see a cool looking lake...will you take some pics for me!?!?!?!? I want to do some black and white pictures in one of the bedrooms at our lake house...Maybe make it the room "Lakes From All Over" all black and white?!?!? Just a thought! I will pay you for them!!! (let me know what I would be looking at money wise) I've been meaning to get my BIG pentex out with my HUGE big lens...BUT...I just haven't!!!! I wanted to put a roll of back and white and take some pictures of the lake! Let me know if you come up with anything! I'm kind of guessing your lakes are too cold right now...lol

Nice piece, a coat hanger? So what was going on in the Dells? If you get a chance you should stop by the Candy Corner. I thought the snow sculptures looked pretty good.

cow tipping. I've heard that term lots lately. Wherever did that come from? It sure looks cute in ice, tho.

You are so patient with your Blacksmith. But it looks like it paid off.

Snow scuptures in the waterpark capital of the world? How ironic. The distinction Wisconsin holds for me is that it is the state with the most dead deer on the side of the highway I have ever seen. I musta seen two dozen when I drove thru on my way to Alaska.

Well, it looks like it was not all a loss. It is amazing what an old art can conjure up.
