Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy. ~Anne Frank

A few days ago I was having some down time, the next day I stumbled onto a new blog and found the quote above in the sidebar there. The timing of things often amazes me.
I almost cried when I read Anne Frank's apt line there, I never forget her
story, first reading the book, then seeing the film when I was very
young...and so, living in the now is apt also, and not letting a thing go
un noticed, just such a lovely post, thankyou :)
Such wisdom from a young girl...and a girl whose circumstances could have
so easily closed her eyes to it. A lesson for us all!
I love tulips,,, perfect one! Happy WW! Hope you'll visit mine too..
Beautiful quote and beautiful photo!
I'm pretty sure the bird in my shot for today is a very chubby
woodpecker...
This is a beautiful set of tulips! Your blog is always a feast for the
eyes.
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the comment about my painting. It's nothing but "Tole"
techniques and is so easy to do! My husband thought I was nuts when he came
home and I was painting that little curve in the wall. "But Honey, I can't
have the mirror hanging between two different colors." After he saw it
finished with the mirror hanging up he was impressed.
Your photography is beautiful!
This is a beautiful post!! The photos really complete the quote.
We are given what we need when we need it!
Beautiful photos, and the quote fit in perfectly. I agree that quote
brought tears to my eyes, just to remember her story.
I read the link to your "down day" and I have to say I can relate.
Everyone thinks I am so bubbly, yet I too have struggled with depression.
Interesting to see what others think of you from the outside.
absolutely beautiful flowers, my MILs came in nicely this year have a nice
bouquet from her after my surgery. Have any plans to be over this way in
August?
Oh I couldn't agree more. Nature provides so much art and beauty all by
itself if you stop and look around. Of course you being a photog only
magnifies that in digital / print.
It boggles the mind as to how she came to that conclusion.
I love red tulips. Great Photo. Please stop by.
I love me some tulips. I used to visit the tulip farms in WA when we lived
there. I hope I get to visit them again.
Beautiful red tulips :)
The first picture looks like a painting. So pretty!
Such a great quote.
It took me a moment to realize where those tulips were. Cemeteries used to
creep me out, but now I find them incredibly interesting. There is so much
history buried there. (Groan, but it's true.) Know why it took me so long
to notice the headstones? I was looking at those lovely dandelions in the
background. Such a cheerful little flower. How could anyone consider it a
weed?
Lovely tulips! I also like the quote. Very fitting. :D
Awesome photos you have here. I totally enjoyed coming here. Thanks
visiting and commenting.
Oh how true that is. A couple years ago our old neighbour committed
suicide and Sirdar and I found him when we checked on him. The next
morning it was a clear day, the dog was lying down 10 feet from the bird
feeder watching the deer eat from it as other deer stood in the clearing.
It was just outside our kitchen window about 15 feet, and we saw it.
Sirdar said at the time, it is like God showing us life goes on and it is
beautiful and serene sometimes. Sometimes we need a reminder. Thanks for
reminding me;-).
Isn't it amazing how sometimes quotes just pop up when we really need
them?? The tulips are beautiful!
