Some sort of little flycatcher.
Thanx to a birding friend I know this is a Warbling Vireo. I don’t think I had ever seen one before. And I had the pleasure of watching two play in a tree. I spent a couple of days looking through my bird books and I had narrowed it down to a warbler or vireo, so I thought it was really funny when Gwen told me what it was.
Gray Catbird - I had never seen one of these either. This pretty little thing just sat there and let me snap away. I only took three shots and they all turned out good, little poser! From what I’ve read they are good mimics, like mockingbirds.
Can you find the Goldfinch? He just cracked me up!
Baltimore Oriole - I saw my first oriole last summer while paddling around up north. I was so surprised to see several right here. Just goes to show that it‘s worth it to zoom in and see what bird is up there. I figured it was one I see a lot of and was so surprised and excited.
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - These little guys seem to be every where right now. You will get to see a few more of them later.
This week is a little crazy as we are preparing for a vacation. So please be patient with me if I don’t make it around as quickly as I normally do.
I love that Warbling and the two last ones...and all of them :D
I love birdies :)
Great shots! I love the Goldfinch shot best - I didn't see him until I saw
your caption. And the Rose-breasted Grosbeak is so pretty - I've never
seen one. And the little Vireo looks just so sweet. Thanks for sharing.
They are beautiful!! I've never seen so many different types of birds.. we
have Cardinals, Blue Jay's, Mourning Doves, Pidgeons, Sparrows..and some
loud ass black birds
Great shots, Lisa! At first I couldn't find the Goldfinch, he really does
blend in. It definetly made for a fun shot. :)
That goldfinch picture was the cutest! Sort of like a Where's Waldo? game.
Haha!
I love the picture of the Goldfinch - he just blends right in. The Oriole
is beautiful - his color is stunning. I followed a woodpecker around for
half an hour the other day trying to get a picture but he never would sit
still. Obviously birds up there are much better at posing LOL
I love the pics of the birds - probably over anything else you take photos
of. We don't have any of these birds here in Alberta - and they really are
beautiful little creatures aren't they? I love when our birds return after
a long winter. The sounds of them singing relieve any stress I might be
feeling and make me happy. I like to do my writing with the door open so
that I can hear them.
I found the goldfinch, but it took me a minute. Great I spy photo.
Wonderful bird photos.
Beautiful Birds, gorgeous shots. You are very talented!
Flycatchers are my absolute favorite birds. Especially the scissor-tail,
which looks like an angel to me...
I WANT TO GO BIRDWATCHING WITH YOU!
