Caution!
We have a large Oak Tree in our backyard providing us with shade and a place to hang the birdfeeder. It's a great tree! But be cautious if you're sitting on our patio right now. The acorns are raining down like hail! If there's a little wind you probably don't want to be sitting on your laptop on said patio.
My son was kind enough to sweep the patio yesterday and already it's messy again. That's my little love Brodi in the photo, he doesn't seem to mind the acorns popping him on the head.
Is that a dog!!?! I can't tell! :P
OMG Brodi is adorable! Where's his eyes LOL He probably doesn't even feel
the acorns with all that gorgeous hair. They probably just bounce right
off him. So cute!
Dogs are so good natured...they don't mind a few head *pings*. My cat,
however, gets quite irritated by this.

He is so cute...it sounds like being under that tree could be a bit sore at
the moment.
I used to have 2 huge sweet gum trees in my front yard! I hated the
gumballs, but loved the shade.
