Fun Meet Monday - Addendum

posted Monday, 15 October 2007

I don't know why I didn't think of it before now, but my parent's have a cuter story than mine.  My mom and I were driving down Main Street, we stopped at a stoplight and this man in the next car stuck his tongue out at me.

3-yr-old-me told my mom, "That man stuck his tongue out at me."

She replied, "Well stick your's back."

So I did.  The light changed to green and the man tried to talk to my mom while they were driving.  She finally told him, "I can't hear you.  If you want to talk to me, pull over."  So they pulled into a parking lot to talk. . . that was 37 years ago.

Your dad is a pretty clever guy. How'd he know your mom wasn't married? Was he close enough to see her fingers sans-ring?

That is a great story. Once when I was dating Sirdar and on the way to his place, this guy in a truck was driving beside me, and when we got to a small town on the highway, he motioned to move go to the pub. I shook my head no, and kept going. It is great your mom stopped. Did she give hime a tongue lashing he he.

AWW, that is such a cute story! Something similar happened to my friend the other day. She had her dog in the car, and a guy in the car next to her said "Cute Dog", she said "thanks" and he goes "Does it have a number?" hahaha...but she's married so she laughed it off and kept going.

I have to get a dog! ;-)

Cute! My parents were married well over 50 years...it is a shame that marriages don't last that long too much anymore!

Awww well look at you, what a cool story. No way would that happen nowadays. The mother would probably try and run the vehicle off the road LOL

I would totally pull over for the guy if we were in town and there were people around, but not with my child in the car, so I guess that tactic wouldn't even work on me. :)

i stick my tongue out at my nieces and nephews all the time. they can't believe it. i usually try to space out when i stick it at who so its always a new game. cause they know they'll get in trouble if they do it, but a big kid sticking their tongue out at you, who can refuse but to do it back.. ?
