This week’s Fun Monday assignment is to share our favorite path/walk. Well, probably my favorite area to walk near home would be Iverson Park. You’ve seen the park before if you’ve seen the photos we did of my kids last fall.
These photos were taken Dec 31st, 2006. It looks quite different than when we shot the kids’ photos, doesn’t it?
This bridge is also in Iverson Park and if you cross it, you can follow some animal trails and find Skunk Cabbage:
And maybe my owl friend.
(These were taken last year with my point and shoot)
But Wisconsin is full of great trails just about anywhere you go.
And even though it decided to spit snow (no accumulation thankfully) on us all day on Saturday, I took a few more photos for you with my new 15mm fisheye lens. It was in the low 30s all day, brrr!
And I took one last one Sunday, although I had the macro lens on. We had a semi-sunshiny day in the 50s.
Thanks for the fun assignment, Angela! Hope I didn’t overload you on too many pictures.
I couldn't wait to see your post today, I knew it would be gorgeous. You
are slowly convincing me to move to Wisconsin!! If only it didn't snow!!
Those are awesome photos as usual. What great views as you are walking the
trails and parks. Just lovely.
Great photos. I particularly like the owl one and the one with the sun
shining through the trees. And the skunk cabbage is funky - I've never
heard of that before...
Wow! That is some park! Stunning pictures. I especially love the owl!
Beautiful country - Wisconsin! My brother lived in Waukesha for awhile,
but I never made it to visit him. Your park is gorgeous - as are your
pics! Have a great Monday, Lisa!!
Lisa, it looks amazing! And no, not too many photos at all!
I agree with Alison; Wisconsin looks like a beautiful place to live except
for the snow (and the cold that goes with it)! I love all of the trees.
This is breathtakingly beautiful!!! I can smell 'freshness'.....instead of
our city ---------there is no place like THIS in our neck of the woods.
Wow.
Oh, Lisa...those are BEAUTIFUL! If I ever travel to Wisconsin, it will be
due to your photographs.
Lisa, there is no such thing as too many pictures when it comes to your
pictures!!
They are all so lovely. I love the owl too, mayb we all seem to
love that one so much because isn't it a little difficult or rare to
capture one on film? Compared to Cardinals, Robins, or Blue Jays...know
what I mean?
Anyway these are all fantastic. The ones with the fisheye lens were tripy!
;)
That wooden bridge...you've shown that in the summer too haven't you?
I want to come walk there!!
Looks like a Beautiful park to walk (or do anything) in!
it was just furring snow here too but quit really fast of course wisconsin
is beautiful no matter the season. great pics
Oh Wow. This was a marvelous walk! I can't believe that amazing shot of the
owl. Fabulous.
I can't believe some of those pictures, they are incredible!
What a wonderful post! How delightful to see the seasons in the same area
… the chill of snowy conditions followed by the gorgeous colors … (and the
OWL you spotted too)! Thanks for sharing … I enjoyed each and every
picture. Mine is up at Small Reflections … Molly and I at Dog Beach ;--)
Wow beautiful photos what a wonderful place to live and walk
That is such a beautiful place.
Great post and I love the photos. I had to laugh at Alison's comment, about
moving to WS. No way, Jose. It's beautiful and a great place for a
Californian to Visit, but you have snow, lots of snow. Beautiful snow, I'm
glad you have it, not me.
There are a lot of good trails if you know where to find them. I guess I
wasn't thinking anything fun today. Thanks.
Lisa ~ you never stop amazing me with your photographic talent. As always,
beautiful photos. What wonderfully peaceful places you have to take a
relaxing walk.
Stunning photos! You certainly live in gorgeous country! Something I am not
used to seeing is green. Everything here in AZ is brown this time of year.
The one photo that really caught my attention was the Skunk Cabbage. At
first I thought it was a statue of some kind.
Thanks for walking with me.
Wow. You are a gifted photographer. Thanks for sharing!
I love the bridges.
Lisa, I personally don't think there can ever be such a thing as "too many
pictures" when you're the one holding the camera. Once again, these were
beautiful. I love the owl...what an amazing shot, it's like it was looking
right at you. Beautiful.
Wow! What a gorgeous walk. I love snow pictures but that's probably because
we don't have snow LOL I really like the tunnel pic - makes me want to go
in and take a look around.
You could never overdo the pictures for me. This a beautiful walk ~yes I
would definitely love to join you on this walk :)
Amazingly beautiful photos. I want to go walking where you live now.
i just KNEW yours would be gorgeous. i was looking forward to this one all
day!
i really like the owl photo. very cool.
as alway beautiful pictures - lots of places to explore and things to see
I want to come walking with YOU! How absolutely gorgeous is Wisconsin?
Oh - love them all!
I have never seen skunk cabbage before and that owl is too cute :D!
These are beautiful!!!
Lisa, I'm late joining your walk but knew it would be worth it to keep
trying to get here! I couldn't even come close to picking a favorite but
way up there would be the wooden bridge.
Great gray owl -- fantastic.
Hey.. I've never seen purple skunk cabbage. Only yellow.
