Friday I went to get chemo number 6. I decided to switch one of the meds. We replaced the oxalyplatin with something that's supposed to be easier on me. I can drink cold stuff so I hoped that would help but I had the nurse come today and hook me up to the IV because I'm still having difficulty drinking. The yeast infection is once again raging in my mouth and I feel generally crappy. :( I'll be happy to be back up enough to get on here everyday again. Currently, this is my first trip on my computer in days and I had to have Dennis hand me the heavy thing. Just wiped out. I'll be so happy to be done with chemo. Every treatment is a small battle won and switching the drugs was just one way of keeping me on it instead of stopping.
My daughter and her boyfriend are here. They got here Friday and I had been able to be up and about some with them until today. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back up. They seem to be having a good time today anyway. Spending time with the brothers and Dennis has been making sure everyone's fed and entertained and such.
Can you believe this time last year we were breaking ground on the house? A whole year ago!
Lisa, so glad to "see" you! Happy to hear that your daughter is there and
having fun with the family. I know you are pushing through. You are one
courageous lady!
IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS MY DEAR FRIEND. WE'LL TALK AGAIN SOON. TAKE
CARE OF YOURSELF ;-) XXOO
Every treatment IS a small battle won and you need to focus on that. The
thrush in your mouth is awful, I'm sure. I hope it's doing better now. So
this is about when you broke ground? I don't even remember breaking ground
since I was so heavily medicated with my herniated disk. Keep your chin
up.
