Dr Onc said he did not feel any masses or lumps and he couldn’t explain the swelling. He left it up to me if I want to wait and watch until March, when I go for my next scheduled check-up, or if I want to have a Chest CT scan now. Since that node I had biopsied in August, was too deep to be felt on exam, he didn’t totally make me feel better.
After talking with Dennis, we have decided to call and have the CT scan now. It has been about 6 months since I had my last PET/CT so we figure it will help put our minds at ease. So I’ll call Dr Onc and get it set up. He did tell me that he will set it up to where I see him the same day as the scan, so that I don’t have to wait for results
I think that's a good call. I will keep praying. Thanks for letting us
know.
I am glad you are getting it checked further, but I also think it is great
the oncologist is not too worried. Best to check it out than worry more
for 6 months.
Good call Lisa, better to be safe than sorry
I think you made the right call, fingers crossed for you.
You are doing the right thing, all the best.
Good choice! It is always better to be proactive!! I hope the scan goes
well.
I agree with all the other commenters taht I think you made the right call
on getting it further checked out, but am glad the oncologist doesn't seem
too concerned. You continue to be in my prayers!
Yes, Lisa, I agree with all the comments. You definitely did the right
thing. You are still in my thoughts. Good Karma comin' your way...
I'll keep you in my thoughts. Hopefully it's nothing at all...
I would have done the test too! =) I wouldn't have waited! You are in my
thoughts!
I am so glad you didn't wait for the CT scan. You are still in my
thoughts! HUGS!!
He sounds like a great doc to give you results the same day as the scan!
I hope it goes well for you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Peace of mind is wonderful thing. I would do the same. You know I wish
you the best and will keep you in my prayers, too.
HUGS
I'll be thinking about you. Take care.
