My kids made it home just fine this morning. I thought I posted an update to that entry last night but apparently it did not take. So, they ended up staying in Rockford last night after seeing about 17 cars in the ditch and passing multiple tow trucks and the mysterious illness attacking Nick (the driver). It took a few attempts but they found a motel with an opening and finished the trip this morning. I'm really happy they were using I39 and not I90 (like we have in the past) where the 20 car pileup was.
Haden is staying at their house tonight so that he, hopefully, doesn't get us sick. My grandson, Tristan, is feeling better and is able to keep some food down, now his mama is sick.
It seems some of you weren't aware I had a grandson. He was my 40th birthday present. Well, almost. My birthday is February 8th and his is the 24th. I have a blog written for him over here. I always kept spiral notebooks for my kids, journals of their lives and decided to move with progress and give my grandchild a blog. I just wish I could get him mama to help me keep it current.
Now that I will be getting a second grandchild I may move to posting in Tristan's once a month. I'm not sure if I should just add the other grandchild into that same blog or open up another one for him or her. Originally, I thought I would talk to all of my grandchildren there but now I just don't know. Any thoughts?
I wonder how Marissa's tatoo will look after being pregnant. . .
I wish I could type, actually type, like x number of words per minutes. It sure would cut down the time I spend posting and commenting. Can you believe for every 20 keys I hit forward, I have to hit at lease 3 backspaces to correct my errors and I think I average 2 words per minute on a good day.
I promise I'll be posting about my new lens on thursday, just trying to play a little catch-up here. And I have some surprise photos for you tomorrow, Wordless Wednesday.
You should start a new blog for the new kid-o! Give them both their own
page!!! The mothers should BOTH help you keep it up!!! You shouldn't have
to do it all!!!! I wonder what that tat is going to look like too....lol
=)
I type really fast and two paragraphs later I will realize my fingers were
on the wrong keys.
I hope it isn't that norwalk virus again. I had that 2 years ago. what a
horrible bug
Glad your kids made it home and took the right route vs. the one with the
car pileup! My mom always told me that you never get over worrying about
your kids, and boy is she right. Now with the grandbaby, it just adds to
the worrying. Good thing they're worth it, huh?! :)
So glad you family is safe and sound. That is a great idea to do for the
grandkids. I have not been able to keep up enough for records on the kids,
even though I have always meant to. I do have things on papers here and
there and hope one day to finish scrapbooking for them. I end up
backspacing a lot too when I type. It takes me a long time, because I
leave comments that are too long.
if its the same family use the same blog, you'll get pics together, if its
not the same parents, make a different one!
With the way you can set up blogs nowadays I think you could have them both
on one blog. Especially if you were to use a three column blog. Have
different pictures of older grandchild down one sidebar and pics of new
grandchild down the other sidebar and then have the middle for posting
about each child on different days. Might save a lot of work jumping from
one blog to another. But that's just me LOL And I definitely think the
momma's should be helping you out especially since you supply such
beautiful pictures and do the work on the blog. But that's just me again
:o)
who is her tattoo for?
Do a family tree for us..this isn't the mom of your grandson..right? Why am
I confused??
Personally I would keep a shared blog for the grandkids. Seriously when
would you have time to keep separate ones? This is just the beginning they
will go forth and multiply. One blog is enough to share.
So glad your kids made it back safely! I hope everyone gets to feeling
better soon.
I have a tat on my tummy it's about the size of a palm.. of a big persons
hand.. say like my hubs. it's bigger then my palm. anyways so far I have
been lucky with the first two chidlren and non of the streatch marks
