Marissa & Dallas

posted Wednesday, 5 December 2007

friends

Update:  Marissa is my step-daughter and Dallas is her friend.  I was the photographer.  I haven't had the guts to get a tatoo yet although I would like one for being a cancer survivor.

Marissa's tatoo reads, "Mourn you till I join you" It's not finished yet, she's lost three friends this year and so far two of them are represented. Dallas has a good fairy and plans of having a bad fairy on the other shoulder.

Beautiful tats. I have a little butterfly on my ankle. I'd like to get another on my foot but I hear it is quite painful there.

Wow, what a great photo. You did a great job, it reminds me of a professional photo in a magazine or an ad. I don't have a tattoo, really haven't considered it. I hope you get the courage up when you really desire one, and you have a good reason to get one. I know of a young girl who got one when her dad passed away as a memorial to him.

Cool! You should totally get one. I have seen some beautiful pink ribbon ones... "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." They aren't that painful. I hope you get one!

Wow - lovely girls and what a great photo.

I wanted to get a tattoo until I worked Harvest one summer and spent time with all these old guys who had 40+ year old tattoos - I decided that I didn't want an old faded ugly tattoo on wrinkly skin when I hit 60.

Those are nice tattoos. You should go for it and get one. You could blog the entire process...just an idea.

I'm not a big fan of tatoos, but it looks like your step-daughter is proud of it, so that's great.

You should get one. You beat cancer, a tat is nothing compared to that! Do what I did and bring a book. I have a low pain threshold and it wasn't so bad.

My two daughters have tatoos. They are small. Becky's is above her butt, a small butterfly and Melissa's is on her foot, continent of Africa with Uganda highlighted in the middle.

Ouch. That looks like it hurt. A lot. I want to get one but a really teeny tiny one. Less pain. I still haven't decided on the design.
