my great protector

posted Friday, 1 February 2008

The silence was interrupted by barking,

Coming from the kitchen.

There was a monster in our back yard!

He was so brave,

Wanting let outside,

So he could protect me.

brave brodi

He cautiously approached,

Inched a little closer,

little braver

The monster hissed,

He barkingly retreated,

barking brodi

Back to the safety of his mother’s arms.

Oh that is so sweet! I have not had much time for blogging this week. Yesterday I went to the country and was rounded up by an extremely large dog. I forgot my camera, how disappointing. Next time I go, I hope to get some pictures so I can tell the tale with pictures.

Lisa, I had to check out the latest photos and see the mice and Brodi for myself. The photos don't appear on the Lhasa List in digest form. Your photos are ALL awesome. Someone said your blog is so great and it leaves one wanting more, which is completely true. I just LOVE it!!

Okay, I give up, what is that thing? No I don't mean that white stuff that Texan's like me never see, I mean the black lump that Brodie was after.

I worried that no one would be able to tell what it was. It's a black trash bag the the big winds brought into our yard and then eventually back out. :)

Too funny! My dogs, who have actually attacked snakes, lose their frickin' collective mind at a blowing trash bag! Good job, Brodi, protectin' your mom.

HA HA HA!!! Too funny.

When my oldest dog was just a year old, my husband came back from fishing. We could hear him knocking about with all his gear, and my dog stood in front of me being all serious, growling and protecting...and as soon as my husband came around the corner with all his gear on, Zeus freaked out and hid behind my legs. It was hilarious.

Hey.. those bags are scary!! I remember one of my cats doing the puffy back and tail thing at one in the kitchen. I thought at first there was a burglar or a maniac with a hatchet or something.

Funny how they think there is something alive there and it really frightens them. They really do have the minds and comprehension of a 2 year old. How sweet he was willing to go out and then was a little to frightened by the unknown.
