Out and about

posted Monday, 19 March 2007

After a week spent working our butts off we needed some relaxation. We threw the doggies in the car and went geocaching. They had a grand time running to and from the caches.  Isn't it cute how their feet are synchronized.

A few caches we did were in cemeteries and this one seemed so sad with it's tiny wooden sign attached to the tree.

While we were here there were a couple of birds playing, "marco". . . "polo". . ."marco". . ."polo". . .  Seemed so peaceful.  As we left the cemetery we were greeted with:

end of road

Yes, that is a frozen lake at the bottom of the hill.  I guess the hill aides in assuring you make it to the bottom of the lake.

Although we're used to seeing Amish buggies around Marshfield we had never seen a sign like this before.

Notice towards the bottom there are two places to tie the horses up to.  And isn't that sky beautiful?!

In all the states we've traveled to, Wisconsin is the only state we've seen a "wheelchair crossing" sign.  Enjoy the sky one more time.

:) I wonder where this fascination of cemetaries originated from. But I love the 2000 miles end of road one cause like...that would make an excellent motto or slogan for something like..."End of Road, 2000 Feet to Hell " :D
