Once again my family in Missouri has been struck by an ice storm. This time it is my grandparents without power. My step-daughter is also once again without power, Maybe they should all move up here, we get snow but typically not ice.
The photos are of my parents' yard (taken by my parents) in January but I imagine the areas look fairly similar now. You can see more photos from that storm here, and read about the trials and tribulations of my parents being without electricity for 9 days here, here and here.

If you have the time check out the neat surprise I got last night. I posted about it on the blog I keep for my grandson.
I hope your family is okay and everyone has their power back soon. We were
only without power a few hours while we were sleeping and the ice has
mostly melted now.
I hope you warm up soon! I hate the ice...love me some snow, but keep that
ice at bay.
I know ice storms are horrible, and I really do feel for those who are
without power, and stuck with the consequences of such a storm, but man, is
it ever beautiful!
Wow. I feel for your family. I've lived through some doozy ice storms and
power outages in Ohio years ago. They are NOT fun. Eeery sounding when
the power's out and the rain is still coming down, and you can't hear
anything but the limbs straining and breaking from the weight. Your
pictures brought back some potent memories!!
