I never did get a new photo of any shoes, although I swear I tried. I hope you won't mind seeing some I took in September, for a fun monday post. Believe me, you can't even see grass around here, and won't for a long, long time.
I am not a shoe person, I know, I know, what kind of woman am I to hate to cook and not like shoes? I just want shoes that feel good to my feet and I hate to have the clutter of many shoes so I try to keep myself down to a few pairs. But, low-and-behold I had more fun with this than I ever would have imagined I would. I gathered every single pair of shoes I own and grabbed the camera. I really enjoyed setting up the scenes for the photos while my sons laughed at me. And I'll apologize now, apparently the sun was playing with my shots more than I realized.
First here’s the rack we use for our shoes, it’s actually portable scaffolding we used while building the house. Since we really have no use for it at the moment, this beats the heck out of folding it up and storing it. And we never wear our shoes in the house so they are all stored in the garage.
These are my cheap, but cute, canoe shoes. If the lakes ever thaw I might get to wear them again.
Rarely used Dexter Golf Shoes, they're cute though, right. They make me think of the days of poodle skirts.
Very worn out born sandals and my adorable Brighton purse. This is about as dressy as I get, looks like I need some new ones.
Comfy and warm muck-a-lucks my parents got me while I was going through chemo.
My summer caching shoes. I have some of the furry Crocs I have been living in this winter. They actually keep my feet warmer than my boots do.
The Crocs have taken over the little Timberland’s with the smartwool lining, but they pair up well with the wool socks. The Cabela’s boots are waterproof and last season my feet never got cold, even when we were 40 below. They are always in the car to replace the crocs if needed but usually I stick a bottle of soda, my cell phone and such in them.
I hope I haven't disappointed by reshowing some photos but if I did maybe you should look at the hot air balloons in the post below, or go visit the other Round Robiners:
Ahhh, what a nice, utilitarian collection of shoes! I like that
collection.
Nice balloon shots, too.
Well, the more I read you, the more I think we have in common. Shoes and
cooking are two of my lowest priorities, too. I missed your Fun Monday
post before, so all this was new. The muck a lucks look very comft and
warm. Great pictures!
Shoes are low on my priorities, too, but cooking I love. This is a great
post. I wasn't blogging in Sept., so it's new to me. Thanks
I am smiling...you have shoes for it all! Busy gurl...
TJ
I love my fuzzy crocs also. I wear them everywhere. I have alot of shoes
also for every event I may have.
I love your pictures! Caching is my favorite hobby and I spend a lot of
time wandering around in hiking shoes - those crocs look really comfy so
I'll have to try wearing them some too. And those pink boots - I LOVE
those LOL Great photos.
Hi Lisa :)
It is so funny how the memory works. I would not have been able to conjure
up any of your shoes in my memory, but seeing the photos, I remembered
them. I was thinking when I saw the theme, it would be one I could do by
replaying my Fun Monday from September.
For someone who keeps herself "down to a few pairs," you have a really
interesting variety here. I didn't know there was such a thing as canoe
shoes, unless you count moccasins! My favorite shots here are the golf
shoes one and the last one, both very well staged. The golf shoes look like
what we called "saddle shoes" when I was a kid. I hated them and loved them
at various times in my childhood, depending on the winds of fashion.
Thanks for posting all these, even if they are reruns!
I love your flat, practical shoes. Since breaking my ankle last year I
have a new appreciation for shoes that WORK.
What a great, comfy collection! The photo of the golf shoes could be in a
magazine. Beautiful!
For somebody who doesn't like shoes you did a very good job and the shoes
are nice too, lol ! Don't worry I also belong to the normal women who don't
like to cook and don't care about shoes ! You can live besides me in
slippers for 20 years and I wouldn't even notice !
you are shoe organized.
I love how creative you got in setting up your shoe "displays". They beat
anything I have seen in a store. ;-) And don't worry, I have to go back to
earlier photos, myself. I try not to but sometimes it's just inevitable. I
wouldn't have been able to post a photo of cute little granddaughter
Emily's shoe on her tiny foot if I hadn't. Very nice entry!
Very cool and creative! I'm not a big fan of shoes either. If I didn't have
to work I wouldn't own any. Ok, maybe one pair of flip flops ;-)
Oh, another good use for scaffolding! Those photos look like they should
be in a magazine
Thanks for sharing all the shoes. Love the circular saw in from of the shoe
rack... for shortening heels?
I swear Lisa, I could literally spend ALL day just reading and looking at
your blog! It is just terrific! Love all your cool shoes!! I love my
winter crocs too!!
