New Year’s Eve we decided to run up north to Woodruff and watch the fireworks. These are my favorite shots (they actually look really cool BIG). I had never seen fireworks over a frozen lake with a blanket of snow everywhere.
For these shots I used manual mode, set @ f/13, and I played with it a bit but most were at 2 seconds, also I took the lens off auto focus and focused manually to infinity. Of course with that long of an exposure a tripod was needed.
Wow. Lisa, those are gorgeous! Absolutely amazing. Every Canada Day I try
and get fireworks shots and it never works. I guess I actually need a good
camera!
WOW! These photos are WILD! Every time I try to take fireworks, they do
not come out. But I don't have a camera that rocks :(
More excellent photos Lisa! I'm passing on an award to you. It's waiting
over at my blog :o)
What stunning pictures, makes me think I really need a new camera!
Great shots! They look so crisp.
These are superb! Fireworks are something I've always wanted to capture
but not had the opportunity as we tend to bunker down when there are
fireworks around because one of The Lurchers is terrified of them. But as
I was given a new Manfrotto tripod for Christmas, I think I should get out
and try my hand!
I am running out of things to say about your photos!! Fireworks are one of
my favorite things to see/watch and these really capture the awe. They POP
even in a still!!
You are SUCH a pro...beautiful!
cool pictures!
They are wonderful. I am envious I wish I could capture things like you do
Great pictures. I am going to start posting more too, just as soon as I get
a new camera. I neeeed one after seeing these.
I agree with everyone else...your photos are amazing!
You took some really lovely photos. I can never manage good firework shots.
BEAUTIFUL pictures. I got a tripod for Christmas, and I LOVE it.
