Wisconsin Humor
As we were driving on a country road near the Dells we saw a "Historical Marker" sign. We let our eyes follow the arrow, but couldn't read the marker from the road. So we pulled over and walked up to the fence. Never let it be said that Wisconsinites don't have a sense of humor.
See the small words at the bottom, Trinacria Hist. Society? No such thing exists. Apparently, Trinacria means literally triangle, check out the Sicilian Folklore. Now I'm just a little more than curious why that word was chosen. This sign was moved from a place in NW Wisconsin a few years ago. Will it's next placement create a triangle?

Oh how fun. What a great sign. I imagine many stop to read it and go
about their day with a smile and likely a photo.
Haha! Really proud that nothing happened there I guess. Maybe you should
check the next time it's moved and whether or not it does create a triangle

There is a sign that says the same thing (except maybe not the Trinacria
bit) somewhere in Kansas. I've run across it several times (or maybe
several different signs), but I don't remember where. It (or they) look
like the regular state markers for points of interest.
I love it! I love that someone would take the time to make such an
elaborate sign for what is basically a prank. Love it!
Lisa, I don't think I've ever contemplated saying that Wisconsinites don't
have a sense of humor. Certainly not after this sign! Brilliant catch.
I would love to know if there is a plan with it.
