Wooden you?
Time for another Round Robin Photo Challenge. This time Kiva suggested anything wooden. I knew immediately what I wanted to share.
We bought these huge antique snowshoes at an auction about 4 years ago. They look nice on the wall.
This is a German sled we bought at an Antique Store when we were building the house. I had thoughts of suspending it from the ceiling above the island in the kitchen as a sort of pot rack.
Why wooden wheels aren’t so great.
I’m sure I could have come up with a few more wooden items but I have been really distracted by birds lately. I have seen a few that I had never seen before and even a few that I had only seen once before. . .You’ll see them soon, promise. Was that a teaser? ;)
I am a sucker for wooden furniture and jewelery myself! I love the feel of
it as well as the look!

Great choices. Is that an Amish buggy? I love wood and have tons in my
house, but I did my birdhouses, outside.

Very nicely done! The green grass makes an excellent backdrop for the
snowshoes and the sled. But my favorite shot is the broken down Amish
buggy.
I see dandelions! Nice wooden objects. The way snow shoes are woven always
fascinates me. Good job on the details.

I had a sled like that ! They are still used even here in Belgium because
my son had one too and I still see them now in winters !

Snow shoes, yes! I hadn't thought of those. Love the close-up! Great
interpretation. How long do I have to wait to see the rest?
Jan it is an Amish Buggy. We have many Amish here.
We have snowshoes like that hanging on the wall outside. We have an old
wooden sled too. We don't have wooden wheels but we have the metal ones
that go on the waggon.
I like your pot rack idea! Did it not work out? I like the snowshoes,
too.
